A removable partial denture (RPD) is a type of dental prosthesis designed to replace one or more missing teeth in a patient's mouth, while still allowing the patient to remove it for cleaning or adjustments. Unlike full dentures, which replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower arch, a partial denture is used when some natural teeth remain.
